Saint Marcellin
This fantastic cows milk cheese has been made in the same town of St Marcellin since 1912.
It has a distinctly winey flavour which develops as it ripens, with a smooth firm centre and soft outer edge.
The cheese is named after the place of its origin, a quiet little village in the valley of the River Isere, which runs from the Alps down to the Rhone.
