Kevin and Alison Blunt make Golden Cross using milk from their herd of goats who are lovingly fed on luscious pasture & hay on their farm in East Sussex. Since giving up their Biochemistry and Human Biology backgrounds in 1989, they have become 2 of the most renowned cheese makers in Britain.
Their Golden Cross creation has earned them an acolade of awards, including the Gold winner at the 2017 Artisan Cheese Awards!
It’s log shape means it can be eaten fresh or slightly more matured and each stage offers a new charachteristic. Each log is lightly charcoaled before the bloomy white rind develops. Try with sparkling wine like Chapel Down Brut.
