Montgomery 12 Month Mature Cheddar
For three generations, The Montgomery’s have farmed their Somerset land and have been making cheese snce 1911.
Being one of the three flag-bearing artisan cheddar producers left, it’s only right that their methods for producing this deliciously full flavoured cheese is still steeped in rich traditions. Being left to mature for 12 months means the palate is nuttier with spicy undertones and a slightly more drier texture compared to other mature cheeses.
The Montgomery’s charachteristic texture is unlike many of mass produced smooth tasting cheddars. This is a beautiful cheese which completes any artisan cheese board.
*Montgomery 12 Month sometimes contains naturally occurring blue veins. These are completely normal and essential to the nature of this cheese and importantly, adds to it's character. The genuine article
